Olympiacos will face Barcelona on the road, Friday (3/11), for Round 5 of the EuroLeague regular season minus team captain Vassilis Spanoulis.

Spanoulis will also remain out of the Greek Cup semifinal vs Aris Thessaloniki, Sunday (5/11).

The 35-year-old combo guard won’t travel with the rest of the squad since he still feels disturbance on his left knee due to Osgood-Schlatter disease, a problem that has been bothering him for about three weeks.

Spanoulis had been diagnosed with Osgood-Schlatter after being forced to leave practice on 6/10, two days prior to the Greek League premiere and the derby vs arch-rival Panathinaikos.

He has been sidelined ever since and has yet to debut in an official game of the 2017-2018 campaign.

Olympiacos will arrive at the game versus Barcelona with a 4-0 record in EuroLeague while the Blaugrana come from three consecutive losses, following their victory in Game 1 over Panathinaikos.
