Milano played with fire but wasn’t burned

The final score was 92-85 with Goudelock scoring 15 points and Curtis Jerrells doing the same for the winning side.

After leading by 18 points at the end of the third period (76-58) and by 24 at the start of the fourth (82-58), Baskonia went into a 25-6 run and almost shocked the Italians who simply decided that the game was over long before the final buzzer.

The key point: With Baskonia cutting the lead to five points (88-83) with two minutes left, Arturas Gudaitis made two free throws which proved to be the most crucial baskets of the game. Baskonia couldn’t get back into a striking distance after that.

Teamwork: Gudaitis finished the game with 10 points, while the duo of Vladimir Micov and Jordan Theodore had 12 points each. Add in the mix 18 assists and finally, it seems that Milano is really clicking.

Toko Shengelia with 19 points did his best for Baskonia, Rodrigue Beaubois added 15 points, but without injured Jayson Granger who didn’t travel with the team, it was obvious that something was missing.

Baskonia was trailing by 12 at halftime (49-37) and despite their come back, the couldn’t get the job done.
