According to a report by “Mundo Deportivo” Kurucs pass out on the dinner which the whole team, coaches, staff and management, with their respective families, enjoyed Monday night.
The 20 years old player was given permission to leave the team this week in order to play with Latvia in the upcoming FIBA World Cup qualifying games, however, there was never a discussion about the day of his departure and his absence raised a lot of eyebrows. On the contrary, Aleksandar Vezenkov who will join the Bulgarian national team was present at the dinner.
Kurucs has a contract with Barcelona until June 2019, he decided to withdraw his name from the NBA draft last season and while he was expected to be part of Barcelona’s rotation this season, this just never happened.
