Svetislav Pesic feels confident about his renewal with Barcelona and he’s not afraid of competition, something that he even expressed to his players in the lockers before the third semifinal against Baskonia.
As Mundo Deportivo reports, Pesic used strong language against his former player, Sarunas Jasikevicius, by stating that “If he [Jasikevicius] comes to Barcelona, he will be my third assistant”.
The bad relationship between Jasikevicius and Pesic counts back to 2003, when the current coach of Zalgiris Kaunas blamed Pesic for his departure from Barcelona after an incredibly successful season in 2003, something that the Serbian coach has always denied and blamed on budget problems.
