David Blatt finished off a successful season with Darussafaka, as the team lifted the EuroCup trophy, but as was prior announced, he won’t continue with the team.

The Turkish side posted an announcement, in which they bid goodbye to the Israeli-American coach.

“From the day he arrived, Blatt, who had impressed the Darussafaka family and the public with his accomplishments in the field as well as his human characteristics out of the court, has been a lot more to the Dacka family than a coach. We thank him for his historic achievements over these two years, and for his character, which should be exemplary of the entire community, and wish him success in his future career.”

Furkan Aldemir also posted a picture of him and Blatt lifting the EuroCup trophy, accompanied by the following message: “Many thanks to coach David Blatt, who has been working with me for two years and has given me the opportunity of becoming a team captain. I wish you health and success”
