Zalgiris Kaunas keeps Edgaras Ulanovas

Zalgiris Kaunas officially announced that it has extended the contract of Lithuanian forward Edgaras Ulanovas. He signed a new 1+1 deal with the club.

Ulanovas has been playing with Zalgiris since 2014 and comes off the top season of his career so far, being an instrumental player in Sarunas Jasikevicius’ plans. The 26-year-old player averaged 7.5 points, 4.1 rebounds and 2.1 assists for a 10.9 PIR on 27 minutes per game in EuroLeague, helping the team reach the Final Four for the first time since 1999.

The last game prior to the Final Four was quite the highlight-performance for Ulanovas who scored 20 points and grabbed nine rebounds while Zalgiris eliminated powerhouse Olympiacos 3-1.

In LKL, Ulanovas posted 7.2 points and 2.7 rebounds as Zalgiris won the championship title.
