Barcelona has expressed an interest in acquiring free-agent American swingman James Nunnally, according to sources. The Blaugrana have a vacancy on their roster at the 2-3 position and Nunnally fits the criteria of the player that could fill that spot.

While Barcelona has Nunnally on the club’s transfer agenda, the player’s priority is to find a contract in the NBA, sources also told Eurohoops. Nunnally plans to exhaust all possibilities of landing an NBA deal before turning his attention to offers from Europe.

Nunnally comes off his most prolific season of a two-year stint with Turkish powerhouse Fenerbahce. In 2017-2018, the 28-year-old player notched 9.3 points during 20:35 minutes per game in EuroLeague while shooting with a phenomenal 55.4% (46/83) from the 3-point line on nearly three attempts per game. He also averaged 2.1 rebounds plus 1.3 assists.

In 2017, Nunnally won the EuroLeague title with Fenerbahce in his debut season in the competition. With the Turkish team, he also won the 2017 and 2018 Turkish BSL titles plus the 2016 and 2017 Supercup titles.
