According to Eurohoops sources, Matt Lojeski and Panathinaikos have agreed to a new contract for the upcoming season. The Greens took into consideration his presence in the Greek League finals, as well as the fact that now he’s in full shape, thus the American-born-Belgian player will return to the team next season.

Lojeski, 33, first joined the Greens last summer and during this past campaign, he averaged 5.7 points and 2.4 rebounds in 27 EuroLeague games.

Following Lojeski’s new contract, the Greek League champions were reinforced with the addition of DeShaun Thomas in the power forward position.

Lojeski proved to be a key contributor for the team, especially in the Greek league playoffs and finals against his former team, Olympiacos.

This is going to be his second season with Panathinaikos and after the departure of Justin Denmon for China, Lojeski is expected to have an even more prominent role in the team’s rotation.
