Baskonia officially announced the acquisition of forward Jalen Jones. The American player signed a contract for the remainder of the season.

Jones, 25, joins Baskonia to help the team at a key stretch of the EuroLeague season. The Basque side is entering the last eleven games of the regular season tied with Bayern Munich at the eighth place, and injury-plagued since forward Tornike Shengelia, guard Jayson Granger and forward Patricio Garino have been out.

This will be Jones’ first venture outside of the USA and it will find him playing in EuroLeague and the Spanish ACB League. The former NBAer with the New Orleans Pelicans, Cleveland Cavaliers, and Dallas Mavericks last played in G-League with Canton Charge (the Cavs’ affiliate team).
