Stephan Lasme and Panathinaikos parted ways

The writings were on the wall and after the addition of Adreian Payne, Stephan Lasme became expendable. With the Greek league rules permitting teams to have only six non Greek players in their roster, Lasme was replaced by Payne and was out of the EuroLeague rotation of coach Rick Pitino.

As a result the team announced today that Lasme is released, thanking his for his contribution to the club. After this turn of events, Lasme can’t play for any other EuroLeague team this season, because he was part of a EuroLeague roster after the 15th round of the regular season.

According to the competition’s transfer rules, a player can move from one EuroLeague team to another during the same season only before the end of the first half of the regular season.
