CSKA Moscow optimistic about Sergio Rodriguez playing in Final Four

CSKA Moscow guard Sergio Rodriguez is hopeful to recover in time from an ankle injury and play in the upcoming EuroLeague Final Four (17/5-19/5, Vitoria, Spain).

“Rodriguez has been undergoing intensive treatment and the team hopes to have him available in the Final Four, a CSKA source told Russian news agency TASS. CSKA is facing Real Madrid in the second semifinal game of the Final Four.

Rodriguez hurt his ankle during CSKA’s win over Nizhny Novgorod in Game 3 of the VTB League quarterfinals. The “Army Men” swept their opponents but not before seeing the Spanish guard being forced to exit the game early with the injury.

In 33 EuroLeague games this season, Rodriguez has averaged 9.9 points, 4.7 assists and 1.5 rebounds over 22:06 minutes.
