Fener, Barca and Olympiacos on the hunt for Sloukas, CSKA and Madrid also interested

Kostas Sloukas should be considered a free agent and anything about his future is currently open. The Greek guard who signed a 2+1 contract in the summer of 2017 has already informed his current team, Fenerbahce BEKO, that he will exercise his option and become a free agent this summer.

Fenerbahce has already presented an improved and respectable 3-Years contract offer to Sloukas. However, the best contract offer that the side of the player has so far  on their hands comes from FC Barcelona Lassa. Real Madrid has also expressed its interest towards the side of the player, but the “Whites” moved to other options.

CSKA Moscow is also a possibility for the Greek guard, but at this point, there’s no offer on the table and no move is expected to be made until the end of the VTB United League season. CSKA will probably present its case and  potential offer after the extension of coach Dimitris Itoudis’ contract is finalized.

And there’s also Olympiacos. The Reds have presented their own three-year offer to Sloukas. The former team of the Greek guard has made also a great push in order to get Sloukas back, especially taking into account the taxation system in greece, financial reality of the club and of Greek basketball in general.

At this point, nobody can predict which will be the final decision of Kostas Sloukas and nothing is expected to be finalized before the end of the BSL season.
