Following nine EuroLeague campaigns with Zalgiris Kaunas and over a decade with the Lithuanian club, Arturas Milaknis inked a new contract for the 2019-20 season. Zalgiris announced the agreement on Friday.

“Zalgiris is already in my blood and I’m really happy to stay here for another year. This organization has been growing each year at all accounts and it’s fun to be a part of it. I didn’t have to think twice when I received the offer” he confessed.

The 32-year-old swingman is coming off 7 points per game in the 2018-19 EuroLeague season. He averaged 7.7 points in the LKL Regular Season and added 5.6 points per contest in the Playoffs as well helping his side win the Lithuanian Championship.

Zalgiris director Paulius Motiejunas said: “Arturas can inspire the whole team with his fiery attitude and clutch play. He sets a nice tone for our young players and is truly the soul in this locker room. The attention opponents have to pay to him on the court allows others to shine, too. We’re happy Arturas remains loyal to his city, his team, and will continue representing the green-and-white of Zalgiris.”
