Although Panathinaikos announced the return of Marcus Denmon, the player and his agent refuted any deal with the ‘Greens’ and Denmon has agreed to a deal with Zhejiang Golden Bulls in China.
Denmon confirmed his move to China while also clarifying his contract situation with Panathinaikos and why he was a free agent:
“For clarity, I’d like to say I love the fans and organization of Panathinaikos. I am grateful for my time in Athens with Pao. This year was an option in my contract for the team to send a letter by June 19 if they wanted to keep me. After that date passed and no letter I became a free agent”, he wrote on Twitter.
