Panathinaikos and Olympiacos still trolling each other

The week started with Panathinaikos announcing the addition of Jimmer Fredette but the Greens tried to create more headlines with an official press release in which they announce a 50% discount for Olympiacos season ticket holders if they want to attend Greek league games.

“Following the final ratification of Olympiacos relegation to the second division, Panathinaikos with an increased sense of responsibility towards those who love Greek basketball, announces that:

Any Olympiacos fan who wants to watch Basket League games – as of course all other Panathinaikos’ games in any competition – by submitting his season ticket of 2018-19, will get a 50% discount on a season ticket of Panathinaikos.

In the OAKA, at Panathinaikos’ home court, those who really love our national sport and want to watch games among teams who belong to the showcase of Greek basketball will always be welcomed”.

Olympiacos reacted by depositing the sum of eight euros to the bank account that was opened for the project “Keep PAO alive”. It’s an effort from Dimitris Giannakopoulos to help the suffering football section of the club and also build a new football stadium.

“Responding to the call for help by Dimitris Giannakopoulos in order to keep our great rival alive, we also contributed to his “Keep Pao Alive” fight”

The date which is also included on the tweet, the 1st of July 2020, is the day in which Giannakopoulos has said that he will leave the basketball section, if the “Keep PAO alive” project can’t be fulfilled.
