Stefan Jovic is officially the newest member of Khimki Moscow Region’s squad. The Russian team announced his addition on Wednesday via press release confirming Eurohoops’ report on the agreement between the two sides for a two-year contract.

“I am happy to become a part of the Khimki family” Jovic mentioned and added: “I want to express my gratitude to the club for their confidence. I will work hard to justify their trust and meet expectations.”

The 28-year-old Serbian point guard spent the last two seasons with FC Bayern Munich. He averaged 8.3 points, 4.6 assists and 2.4 rebounds per match in the previous EuroLeague season.

“Jovic has the experience of playing in the EuroLeague looking great for Bayern and Crvena Zvezda” Rimas Kurtinaitis noted and went on: “He pressures his opponent, is effective in pick-and-rolls, penetrates and is very reliable. Stefan has no weaknesses. He is one of the best point guards in Europe.”

Jovic finished his 2018-19 easyCredit BBL season with 6.8 points, 4.8 assists and 1.7 rebounds per game. He helped Bayern secure championship honors in the German league for the second year in a row, but will further his career playing in the VTB United League for the first time.
