Turn up the volume and listen as Hines pulls seven of CSKA Moscow’s best players aside to review the 2018-19 campaign after they received their championship rings at the team’s season-ending dinner. Hear from Nando De Colo, Cory Higgins, Sergio Rodriguez, Semen Antonov, Joel Bolomboy, Othello Hunter and Alec Peters in this fifth and final edition of the Kyle Zone for the season.

The Kyle Zone is part of Euroleague Basketball Podcasts, joining The Crossover with Joe Arlauckas to let fans go in-depth with the protagonists of Europe’s top pro basketball competition. The Kyle Zone is broadcast on iTunes, Audioboom, Spotify, RadioPublic, Google Podcasts, Stitcher, TuneIn and other platforms.

Hines brings up relevant topics from each player to give the listener an insider’s view of the CSKA season. Among the topics discussed are what turned around CSKA’s season, the support of family at the Final Four and what players are looking forward to over the summer.

“I think the good thing this year is we never gave up,” De Colo said. “Doesn’t matter what happened during the practice, during the game and during all season long. We never gave up, we always faced the adversity and we just tried to build a better team from that.”

“To win the EuroLeague is probably the toughest competition in the world because of the system. You play a regular season, a playoff, a Final Four. Everything depends on one weekend playing the Final Four. I’ve been there six times and this was my second time [winning]. It was pretty special for the group that we built,” Rodriguez explained. “It was not an easy year, but everyone put everything together and we made it.”

Higgins summed up his four seasons at CSKA in his chat with Hines: “The entire journey from when I came here and nobody really knew me and guys lie you took me under their wing and showed me how to be, how to perform in a big club like like this. So I think I’m just most proud of the journey. Obviously, the two championships that we have are obviously going to stick above anything else, the two EuroLeague titles. But the whole journey overall is what’s going to really last in my life. From where I came and the relationships that I bonded with you guys. And to end it like how I did this year and how we did together as a team with a perfect season, I think the whole journey is just beautiful.”
