Vanja Marinkovic is en route to playing in EuroLeague next season.

Valencia has reached a deal in principle with Partizan Belgrade guard Vanja Marinkovic sources told Eurohoops. The Spanish EuroLeague club will have to pay Partizan 200.000 to acquire Marinkovic, according to the contract extension the player signed in 2018.

Unicaja Malaga was considering acquiring Marinkovic while Olympiacos had also targeted the player.

Marinkovic, 22, averaged 12.4 points, 2.3 rebounds and 2.3 assists in 29:07 minutes in 16 EuroCup games with Partizan in 2018-2019. The Serbian player finished the season in ABA League with 12.2 points, 2.4 rebounds and 1.8 assists in 27.7 minutes.

Marinkovic was selected by the Sacramento Kings with the 60th overall pick in the 2019 NBA Draft.
