FC Bayern Munich is no stranger of moving players from the NBA to the EuroLeague, hopes to repeat past success with Josh Huestis. The German club announced the addition of the 27-year-old American forward on Wednesday.

The Stanford alumni was picked 29th in the 2014 NBA draft. He since took part in 82 NBA games including six in the Playoffs, all with the Oklahoma City Thunder.

Huestis preferred G League options through the Oklahoma City Blue and the Austin Spurs to further his professional career and continue his development, but the time finally came to move overseas.

With Bayern, he is set to make his EuroLeague debut and attempt to match expectations which were set high if one considers Derrick Williams’ contribution immediately after moving from the NBA to EuroLeague, during the 2018-19 season.

He marked his 2018-19 campaign averaging 8.2 points per G League game with the Spurs. He previously notched 2.4 points per contest in NBA action between 2015 and 2018.
