He might be enjoying his vacations in Serbia, but Zeljko Obradovic told Serbian outlet Blic that he is already thinking about Fenerbahce Beko’s next season. During his interview, the 59-year-old Serbian coach also answered questions about the NBA and the upcoming FIBA World Cup.

When asked if he will ever consider moving to the NBA, he replied: “No! There is no story about NBA and me!” and went on explaining: “I am very happy and satisfied at Fenerbahce.”

“Our last season was going well up to the injuries” he admitted talking about Fener’s 2018-19 season and added: “We did not finish the way we wanted.”

On EuroLeague: “It is never easy for me to face any Serbian team” he pointed out and continued: “I am glad Crvena Zvezda returned to EuroLeague, they deserved it. I would also like Partizan in the EuroLeague.”

The discussion went on to the World Cup and Serbia’s chances for a good run. Obradovic was optimistic and pointed out: “I do not have the slightest doubt that Sasha Djordjevic and his players will do their best.”

Asked about the ABA League and its number of teams in Europe’s premier competition, he said: “The region the league represents deserves two teams in EuroLeague.”

In conclusion, he explained that he prefers personal relationships over Twitter and other social media networks. “I am not interested at all in social media” the experienced coach mentioned.
