Paul Zipser is back for FC Bayern Munich, the German club announced on Monday. The 25-year-old German forward played for Bayern through 2013 to 2016, before moving to the NBA.

“I am very happy to be back in town, to my club, where I know so many people including players” Zipser said upon signing and added: “It will mark a new start for me, a second restart after nearly two years of my foot injury, now fully fit and healthy.”

The 2014 easyCredit BBL champion with Bayern has three EuroLeague campaigns under his belt, all during his first tenure with the 5-time German champions. “We have a strong team and big goals” he noted.

In addition to his 18 EuroLeague games, Zipser also took part in 15 matches of 7DAYS EuroCup with Bayern. He since competed in 104 NBA contests, all with the Chicago Bulls.

Zipser returned to Europe last January for San Pablo Burgos. In 18 ACB matches of 2018-19’s bottom end, he averaged 6.4 points and 2.6 rebounds.
