Rick Pitino officially penned a deal with Panathinaikos OPAP which binds them together until the summer of 2021, the club announced.
The 67 years old coach led the Greens to the Greek League title and the Greek Cup last year. Panathinaikos currently holds a 6-4 record in EuroLeague and an 8-0 record in Greece.

Pitino has also agreed to take over the Greek national team and will coach them in next summer’s Olympic qualifying tournament aiming for a spot in the Olympic Games tournament.
