Jordan Loyd ruled out for game against Olympiacos

Due to a left ankle injury, Jordan Loyd will not play in Valencia’s EuroLeague Regular Season Round 18 contest versus Olympiacos, the Spanish club announced on Thursday. The home game is set to take place on Friday evening.

Per Valencia: “Valencia Basket guard Jordan Loyd left the Endesa League game on the Real Madrid’s court after injuring his left ankle.

Tests performed on the player have revealed that Loyd suffers a sprained left ankle. The American guard will be sidelined for tomorrow’s game at Fonteta against Olympiacos Piraeus, pending evolution for its subsequent reinstatement.”

The 26-year-old American guard is averaging 11.8 points, 2.5 assists and 1.9 rebounds per appearance in his debut EuroLeague season, also has 13.1 points per ACB contest. His team is 8-9 in Europe’s premier club competition, 8-8 in the Spanish league.
