The Red offer to Sloukas

By Nikos Varlas/ varlas@eurohoops.net

The negotiations between Kostas Sloukas and Olympiacos started today. The Greek guard has already also an offer from Panathinaikos, while Fenerbahce/ Ulker and CSKA are waiting the results of the talks with Olympiacos in order to make their move.

Olympiacos wants to keep the player, who is a key part in the team’s planning, and gave him a three year deal for a total of 2 millions euros. The Reds are waiting his answer in the next hours, however it’s more than probable for the talks to continue for more days in order to have a final positive or negative result.

Fenerbahce is the team which seems more eager to lure Sloukas away from Greece and according to Eurohoops sources, the Turkish club is ready to offer at least the same deal that Olympiacos is currently giving. Still, the report about a contract by Fenerbahce already sent to Athens for Sloukas is not true.

Every team that is interested on Sloukas knew they had to wait until the offer by Olympiacos for the player was on the table. This is now a reality and the other teams which are willing to make an other offer are expected to send their written proposals.
