Dzanan Musa is already the next big thing of the European basketball. Born on the 8th of May 1999, the 2,03 m. forward is a jack of all trades on the court and as he proved after winning Eurobasket U16 in Lithuania, a leader.

Musa became the MVP of the Bosnian team, writing sports history for his country. This was the first medal of Bosnia after the Yugoslavian civil war and it was gold. He finished the game flirting with a triple double (33 p., 8 r., 7 as., 2 bl.), he set the tone in the first half against the Lithuanian hosts and in the end he decided the outcome.

He finished the tournament averaging 23.3 points, 9 rebounds and 6.3 assists. He was the third leading scorer of the tournament, the top rebounder and the second leading passer. He is not just a scorer. He already has an impressive basketball IQ, he is a great passer, he can use both hands, he makes his teammates better and he is a great ballhandler.

Everyone can understand now why Olympiacos had spotted Musa who was born in Bihac of Bosnia and Herzegovina and later on he joined Sarajevo based club KK Kos. He traveled to Athens (photo) and a deal was almost made between him, the Euroleague powerhouse and Kos. At that point the only thing left for the deal to became official was the final approval of Kos’s managing board.

According to sources the Bosnian side asked some extra money in the 11th hour, the deal was not completed and in a few days everything changed with the player signing with KK Cedevita. Musa was ready to move to Greece, but now he is a resident of Zagreb, ready to make the next step in his professional career. He will be part of the men’s team pre-season and then he is expected to play in the Croatian A-1 league in the farm team of Cedevita. What will come next is a matter of him working and staying focused, however as you can see in this video, he is destined for basketball greatness.
