Unicaja Malaga took an important road victory 57 – 64 against Tenerife , yet this result came with a high price, since Jamar Smith got badly injured.

The American shooting guard hurt his right ankle during the warm up and, according to early estimations, he will stay out of action for one month and a half.

With average numbers of 11 points and 2 assists in Liga Endesa, plus 7 points and 2 assists in Euroleague, Smith provides lots of help to the Andalusians’ game. Therefore the club is now searching to sign a player who will be much needed for the upcoming crucial games, especially in Euroleague.

Update: Apparently the initial estimations were, sadly, wrong.

As the club announced, Jamar Smith suffered an injury on his capsular-ligament that will keep him off courts for 2 to 3 months.
