Despite Anadolu Efes’ loss to Panathinaikos (83-78), Thomas Heurtel was one of the players that stood out for the Turkish team, offering decent solutions, especially offensively.

After the end of the game, the French guard talked to Eurohoops.net about the current situation in group E as well as Panathinaikos’ leader, Dimitris Diamantidis.

More specifically, regarding the group, he said: “It’s very difficult to make any predictions right now. What we have to do is to be victorious in the remaining games. We will play four games in Istanbul and three on the road. We will try to win all games at home and one or two on the road, in order to improve our chances to finish second in the group.”

During our conversation with one of Euroleague’s best point-guards, we asked him his opinion about the Greens’ captain, Dimitris Diamantidis, who has decided to retire at the end of the current season:

“I believe that every player in Europe is trying to play like him. He is one of the best players in the Euroleague, a true legend,” he mentioned, adding that “I hope he will be better soon and, as far as I am concerned, I hope I will manage to be like him, although it’s very difficult. I will try to achieve this, he is a great player.”
