Defeat for Hapoel Tel Aviv despite Robinson’s 46 points

Although Nate Robinson scored no less than 46 points in his first overseas playoffs game, Hapoel Tel Aviv succumbed against Hapoel Jerusalem, 97 – 99 in overtime.

With  his no less than epic efforts, the “Krypto-Nate” forced the extra period, but in the end, Hapoel Jerusalem won the day. The 46 points (shooting with 15/22 from the field, with 7/10 three-pointers) he dropped are the most in a playoffs game since Israeli basketball legend Doron Jamchy recorded 51 in 1985!

Eli Holman was the hero in the end for the winners since with a put-back basket, he helped the hosts make it 1-0 in the quarterfinal series against their opponents. Earl Rowland was the top scorer for the team from Tel Aviv with 16 points.
