No Pre-Olympic tournament for Printezis

Giorgos Printezis was battling with plantar fasciitis all season and in Game 3 of the Greek league finals he was finally beaten. In the fourth quarter, he was hurting so bad that he had to limp back to the bench and it’s a given that he will not be able to play for the Greek national team in the upcoming pre-Olympic tournament.

Printezis may try to play through the pain in fifth and last game of the Greek league finals, if there’s one with Olympiacos currently having a 2-1 lead. However, with the medical exams still pending, he will need at least one month of rest in order to recover and be able to practice again.

Printezis was expected to have a key role in the upcoming qualifying tournament, but this will not happen.
