In an interview he gave for the Serbian Blic, Crvena Zvezda president Nebojsa Covic discussed the budget for the upcoming mentioning that after Quincy Miller and Maik Zirbes, no other player will leave the the team.

“Last year’s budget was about 5.2 million euros. Now I don’t think that we will go more than six million”. said the boss of the club. “Since Crvena Zvezda fans fill the arena in order to see their team play, a large percentage of this amount of money is covered by tickets. “We received profits around 1.7 million euros last season from normal and season tickets. Now we expect that this number will be increased in 2.5 million. About 40% of the team’s total budget. We plan to release 6000 season tickets”.

Quincy Miller and Maik Zirbes, quite possibly the most important factors in the the successes of Red Star in the previous season have left for Maccabi Tel Aviv. But every other player will remain in the team, according to Covic. “Everyone that hasn’t departed, will remain here. I can’t speak about players that might arrive, since we haven’t made a final agreement with anyone so far. Our financial situation doesn’t allow us to bring big stars. The team will follow a certain model that increases the value of the foreign players, like Zirbes and Miller, but also Serbian ones, like Nikola Kalinic”.
