Zenit signs Sergey Karasev

Sergey Karasev will join Zenit St. Petersburg in a 2+1 years deal. The 22yearold Russian arrives to Zenit from Brooklyn Nets, to where he was traded by Boston Celtics in 2014.

The Russian shooting guard started his career in Zenit in 2010 and stayed there until his draft declaration. He was selected as the 19th overall pick by Cleveland Cavaliers in the 2013 draft and signed with the team shortly after.

In Zenit, he will have as his coach his father, Vasily Karasev, a former star of Russian basketball and also the current coach of the Russian national team. Zenit will compete in next season’s VTB United League and also in the Eurocup.
