Juan Carlos Navarro will become tonight just the fourth basketball player in the history who will compete in the Olympic Games for a fifth time.

Since 2000 the 36 years old Spanish guard is always present in the Olympic Games and his fifth participation makes him part of a club that includes Teo Cruz (Puerto Rico), Andrew Gaze (Australia) and Oscar Schmidt (Brazil).

This is the fourth Olympic tournament for Navarro’s teammates Jose Calderon, Felipe Reyes, Rudy Fernandez and Pau Gasol.

Navarro is the all time second in games played with the Spanish national team (230) behind an other Barcelona legend, Juan Antonio San Epifanio (239).
