Serbia finished fourth in the group stages of the Olympic basketball tournament in Rio, but the ambitions of the team remain high.

After all the Serbs will not cross paths with US until the final and coach Alexander Djordjevic explained that he does not care who will be their opponents from now on: “This was our first small goal, to qualify from our group to the quarterfinals. We’ve got a game in which there were no calculations. Our opponents from the other group seems quite equal. It will be interesting tomorrow. If I started to deal with calculations, my head would hurt me and I would not understand what should I do. We are ready for everyone. We played the right way against China, we had a serious approach to the game”.

And when he was asked if he thinks that Serbia will be a preferred opponent for the teams of Group B and what he would say to them, he answered: “Welcome! Here we are! The big surprise for me so far is this group and these results that proved that the basketball tournament at these Olympic Games is a very, very strong”.
