Transformation and victory for Panathinaikos vs Unics Kazan

Showing a much improved picture in the second half of the game, Panathinaikos finished the “Gomelsky Cup” tournament by beating Unics Kazan 69 – 58.

The Greens were trailing 33 – 24 after the completion of the first twenty minutes, but a 24 – 12 partial score in the third quarter put them in the driver’s seat. They continued being aggressive on offense while playing great defense for the remainder of the game.

K.C. Rivers (12 points) and Giannis Bourousis (11 points/10 rebounds) were the most productive players from the winning side while Nick Calathes dished 8 assists.

For the Russian team, Artsiom Parakhouski recorded a double-double of 15 points (most of them in the first half) and 10 rebounds. Coty Clarke scored 10 and grabbed 5 rebounds.
