Barca and Baskonia got the job done

After the impressive start of Real Madrid on Friday, Baskonia on Saturday night and Barcelona on Sunday got their wins in Liga Endesa’s opening gameday.

The Catalans in a game in which both teams missed 40 threes, until the first was made – by Barca’s Sasha Vezenkov – got the 56-50 win over Manresa. The winners once more missed almost their entire back court (Navarro, Rice, Koponen, Ribas) and got 13 points by Ante Tomic and 11 by Justin Doellman.

Baskonia was far more ready for action, getting also the road win over Obradoiro (92-76). Shane Larkin and Toko Shengelia scored 19 points each, while Andrea Bargnani came from the bench and added 7 points. Still the best performance from an ex-Nets player came from veteran Boki Nachbar who scored 30 points for Sevilla in the road win over Estudiantes Here are the scores of the first day of action in Spain.
