Valanciunas vs the Bobinator in the Euro-game of the night

The Toronto Raptors beat the the Detroit Pistons 109-91 with DeMar DeRozan having 40 points, while Jonas Valanciunas was 10 for 15 from the field for 32 points to go along with 11 rebounds. Valanciunas’ previous career high was 31, also against the Pistons, on Jan. 12, 2015.

According to Elias Sports Bureau, the duo became the first teammates in NBA history with a 40-point game and a 30-point game in a season opener. “Eighty-one games to go,” the Lithuanian. “We should not get too excited; this is just the start.”

Valanciunas’ amazing night included a big dunk over Serb Boban Marjanovic who was on the floor only for five minutes for Detroit. Veteran Slovenian Beno Udrih added 5 points for the losing side, while Austrian center Jakob Poeltl had 2 points and 2 rebounds for the winners. Here’s the show of Valanciunas.
