Unicaja Malaga slapped Baskonia

The sixth GameDay in the Spanish league concluded with the grand game of Unicaja Malaga (4-2) against Baskonia (4-2), where the Andalusians outplayed their opponents particularly in the first half to improve their position in their standings.

It was the backcourt duo of Kyle Fogg (19 points) and Jamar Smith (15 points, 5 rebounds) that shined the most from the winning side along with Oliver Lafayette who “touched” the double-double (9 points, 10 assists).

After a disappointing first half with an output of only 23 points, Baskonia rushed to catch up with its hosts, but didn’t succeed. Jaka Blazic finished with 16 points and 5 rebounds while Josh Akognon added 12.

In other games, Real Madrid (5-0) overpowered Zaragoza and Barcelona outlasted Fuenlabrada in a tense match where Giorgos Bartzokas was ejected. Meanwhile, Tenerife keeps impressing, being now second in the standings with a 5 – 1 record behing the Whites, but over Valencia and Barcelona at 4-1.
