FANTASY: Bobby Dixon is… possessed!

By Dimitris Mitratzas / info@eurohoops.net

Last week’s choices were made with more basketball criteria in mind rather than being based on the credits they would bring to the fantasy team. But we are not going to follow the same formula again this week.

The addition of Langford and Honeycutt paid off both in terms of credits (the two of them alone provided 18 credits) but also points! The Eurohoops Team now has 532,4 credits but there are still undervalued players and we are going to try to benefit from them!

The most undervalued players in the game are backcourt players: Honeycutt, Sanders, and Langford! Let’s take a look at the players who have the biggest point difference between their averages and the score they need in order to retain their value.

Regarding the Eurohoops Team, Victor Claver is out because of his injury. For the other two positions there are three players who are candidates: Luka Doncic is going to be tested in Moscow against CSKA and it’s going to be very difficult for him to come up with a double-digit score. Brad Oleson has been playing more minutes in every game, taking advantage of the injuries of Barcelona’s backcourt players, but he’s not taking on more attempts and is not making the difference. Lastly, Johannes Voigtmann did splendidly for as long as Bargnani was out, but the Italian may come back and so the German’s playing time may be reduced.

Aside from Claver then, Doncic and Voigtmann are also going to depart, leaving us with a total of 153,7 credits to spend.

The first choice with the point guards is Bobby Dixon, who is in excellent form and, in the absence of Bogdanovic, is playing steadily 30+ minutes. He’s coming off the buzzer beater against Darussafaka in the Turkish championship and he’s uplifted mentally.

In the backcourt, Sanders and Thomas are highly recommended, but the last two open spots on the team are for the big men positions.

The first choice is Art Parakhouski, who returns to the team after his mediocre start. He’s undervalued, he finishes a lot of plays close to the basket, and he can make the difference against Crvena Zvezda.

Finally, with 38,5 credits still available, Joey Dorsey seems like the only choice. The American center is the so-called one-game option. He’s cheap, undervalued, and can make the difference for a short time, but not for many games in a row.

Enjoy fantasy!
