Trinchieri: “Teams that’ll face us should worry more than I do now”

Despite entering the second half vs Baskonia with a 15-point deficit, Brose Bamberg failed to finish the job, making a series of crucial mistakes in the final quarter and ultimately losing the game.

It’s the third defeat in a row for the German team and, like the other two, it arrived in the very last seconds.

During the post-game press conference, coach Andrea Trinchieri expressed his belief that his team performed great for the vast majority of the match and voiced his optimism that in the future… his guys will get the wins he believes they deserve.

“After 48 hours we played a great game. Excellent for 35 minutes. We did whatever we had to do to play in such tough court against such a good team and we just missed the energy to finish the job at the end. I will say that my players played a great game and we missed two centers we had to change the rotation completely. That cost us some extra energy.

“Again, I stick with my guys. I believe that teams that’ll face us now should worry more than I do now. Because we are going to take back all that we are producing. We are not taking home some wins. I believe that for 35-36 minutes we were dominating the game.”
