How long did it take Sergio Llull to record the numbers that named him MVP of the Week in the Spanish League? Only 16 minutes….

Llull did his job and then some during this time-span, by dropping 24 points (on a super 3/4 2-pointers, 4/5 from beyond the arc), dishing 6 assists, grabbing 3 rebounds and forcing his opponents to foul him 5 times in Real Madrid’s 96 – 70 victory over Manresa . His achievements are reflected in 37 evaluation index points, more than any other player out of a winning team this Week in Liga Endesa.

His index rating makes a new personal best, since his previous high was 36 (made last season vs San Sebastian) but also creates a new record for the league in general.

Never before had a player in the Spanish Championship amassed this kind of numbers during 16 minutes. Until yesterday’s “Llull rage”.

The 29-year-old guard scored 12 points in the first quarter of the match against Manresa then…. spent the second period on the bench but came back with vengeance filling his opponents’ basket with 12 points in the first five minutes of the third period.

“I’m very happy with my individual performance but above all I am pleased because it helped my team win,” he said. “In addition, I’m happy because of the timeframe in which I achieved these numbers.”
