Dixon saves Fenerbahce against Besiktas

Fenerbahce was able to beat Besiktas on the road with 76-79, with a crucial shot made by Dixon with 44 remaining on the shotclock! The visiting team improved its record to 12-2 in the league, while the hosts fell to 11-3!

Bogdan Bogdanovic led Fener with 19 points, James Nunnally followed with 15, Bobby Dixon had 11, Luigi Datome scored 10 more. For Besiktas, Vladimir Stimac finished the game with 18 points, while D.J. Strawberry had 15

At halftime, Besiktas was up 4539, despite Bogdanovic leading all scorers with 12 points in 20 minutes. Early in the second half, the hosts even expanded to a double digit lead of 11 points (5039 at 22′), then with Dixon the visitors reduced to 6. By the end of the third quarter, Besiktas was up 6360.

In the final seconds of the game and after Dixon’s crucial three, Strawberry put his team behind with one point. Then the former came in with a turnover, but luckily for Fener, Sloukas was there with the steal and the game was sealed.

Meanwhile Anadolu Efes got the big win over Galatasaray and shares the top with Fenerbahce as both teams have a 12-2 record and the fourth EuroLeague team of the country, Darussafaka Dogus, also prevailed. Besiktas is third with a 11-3 record, followed by Banvit and Darussafaka at 10-4, while Karsiyaka and Galatasaray are left behind, tied at the sixth spot with a 8-6 record.
