Jordi Bertomeu spoke during to the Spanish press during the Empren Esport awards of the Trinidad Alfonso Foundation, as reported by sport.es. The Euroleague CEO confirmed that the Final Four of this season will be held in Istanbul, despite the recent terrorist attacks in Turkey, but said that the organization committee is already working on a special security plan with the Turkish government for the upcoming event.

“Obviously, security measures will be tougher than the ones in Berlin but no changes will be made about the venue”, said the Euroleague CEO.

“Things have happened in Istanbul, but also in other places. No one can guarantee that nothing will happen in a different sight. Three months before the Euro, France experienced a terrible attack, but nothing happened during it because the security forces took precautions.”
