EuroLeague Fantasy: Udoh out? Vesely’s going to party!

By Lefteris Moutis/ info@eurohoops.net

Ekpe Udoh is going to miss another game for Fenerbahce and Jan Vesely, the other big man of the Turkish team, is ready to have another great game!

Injuries and last minute absences determine a lot in recent games in the EuroLeague fantasy challenge. For example, last week two of the game’s most popular players, Ekpe Udoh and Milos Teodosic, were out of action.

Both are going to remain out for the next round as well and managers certainly have to readjust their plans. Chris Singleton’s case is also causing a headache, as his participation is going to be decided shortly before jump ball.

Who are the most attractive players for you to acquire based on their form, their opponent and their consistency in recent games? The Eurohoops fantasy tool has the answers! Select the players you have and the tool will “advise” you about who you should let go and who you should acquire.

See here the estimate concerning the scoring of the most consistent players in the game.

This week we are going to move in the opposite way from the usual rationale. We are not going to start from the players we want to dismiss.

Ekpe Udoh is going to stay out again and Fenerbahce are going to face Unics, who have Parakhouski and Williams in the front line. Is Jan Vesely once again a must choice after the game against Panathinaikos? Of course! The Czech might often be in trouble with fouls this season, but he can definitely have a really good game in Kazan. He costs just 53,4 credits, so he can be acquired by most teams.

Also, Vitor Faverani is extremely popular as well. Barcelona’s newly acquired center had an impressive debut last week and if Singleton is absent, he can have another good game against Panathinaikos’s virtually only real big man, Ioannis Bourousis.

But how will two big men join? Ante Tomic will have to go, mainly because of Faverani’s presence. Rudd is in form, he’s up against Galatasaray, who have one of the weakest front lines, and with Zirbes out he’s going to play more. Derrick Brown, respectively, has an edge because of his general advantage in the mismatches against most of Darussafaka’s big men. On the contrary, Real’s frontline can contain Nicolo Melli more easily, so he’s going to go despite his continuous steady course.

The point guards will remain the same, as Mike James has been in excellent form in the past month and Llull can have a really good game with Doncic coming back from an injury.

In the backcourt, De Colo and Langford are sure choices. On the contrary, the dilemma between Anderson and Beaubois is intense. In the end, it’s preferable to let Beaubois go since, in theory, James Anderson can put up a big score against Efes more easily.

With 93,3 credits available, any backcourt player can be acquired. Goudelock, Guler and Simonovic are all excellent choices but we are going to go with the first one based on his form and Galatasaray’s bad defense, and we are going to set 29,9 credits aside for the return of Milos, Udoh or some other expensive player in the near future.
