Iberostar Tenerife signed French swingman Lahaou Konate for the remainder of the season, the club announced. The player will have his first stint in the Spanish ACB League and fourth consecutive run in the Basketball Champions League.
Konate, 27, spent the last two seasons with Nanterre 92. In 2018-2019, he averaged 9.7 points, 4.8 rebounds, 2.6 steals and 1.2 steals in 30.0 minutes over 18 Basketball Champions League games to help the French club reach the competition’s quarterfinals.
In the French Jeep Elite League, Konate posted 12.3 points, 5.2 rebounds, 2.1 assists, and 1.4 steals in 30.9 minutes over 34 games. He was named the league’s Best Defender
