Coach Tiago Splitter leading the Brazil U23 national team to gold

In Europe he made his name as a member of Baskonia, then he played for the San Antonio Spurs, moved to an assistant position in the Brooklyn Nets, and now he left his mark with the U23 national team of Brazil.

Tiago Splitter led this weekend from the bench of the Brazil U23 national team in a 77-73 win over Baylor, which was serving as US representative, and the gold medal of the inaugural GLOBL Jam international basketball showcase in Toronto, organized by the Canadien basketball federation.

Brazil was led by a 30-point, 11-assist performance from Yago Dos Santos who was named Tournament MVP after the win.

Not bad for 37-years old Splitter who may return to the FIBA basketball scene and even in Europe as a coach.
