Barcelona’s Bolmaro injured in FIBA U19 World Cup first day

Leandro Nicolas Bolmaro was injured on the game between Argentina and Russia for the FIBA U19 World Cup which ended with the South-American team getting the close 86-84 overtime win. Barcelona’s shooting guard, who is expected to be part of the senior team next season, was hurt at the end of the first half, after scoring 16 points in just 12 minutes of action.

On the other hand, Ariel John Edu of the Philippines after just two minutes of action, he will miss the rest of the tournament due to an anterior cruciate ligament and meniscal tear on his right knee with a hairline fracture on his right femur bone, according to a statement by the country’s federation.

UPDATE: Bolmaro’s injury proved to be just a strain and he finished the tournament averaging 10.8 ppg and 2.3 rpg.
