At the Mundobasket, Montenegro has a real chance to make a step forward compared to the 25th place four years ago in China, because they are going to Manila with practically the strongest forces.

Head coach Bosko Radovic has an extremely high-quality squad at his disposal, with Nikola Vucevic and Bojan Dubljevic as the best players. It’s not just the two of them who will carry the burden on their backs, as the Montenegrins will have Kendrick Perry, Vladimir Mihailovic, Marko Simonovic, and Nikola Ivanovic in their rotation… Quite a good and above all experienced team at the club level, which should now be transferred to the national team stage.

As it was announced, the selector Radovic decided that Emir Hadzibegović will stay in Montenegro, so the final squad consists of: Nikola Ivanovic, Kendrick Perry, Igor Drobnjak, Petar Popovic, Vladimir Mihailović, Andrija Slavkovic, Dino Radoncic, Aleksa Ilic, Nemanja Radovic, Marko Simonovic , Nikola Vucevic, and Bojan Dubljevic.

The Montenegrins travel to Manila, where they will play in a group with Mexico, Egypt, and Lithuania, starting this evening, via Istanbul to their final destination.

We are going there to prove that we are not at Mundobakset by chance and to present our country properly. I think we have a good team, top players and people, with all that, the atmosphere is great, which is very important for the result“, said captain Dubljevic.
