Slovenia gets a much-needed win in preparation for the FIBA World Cup having no troubles against Japan 103-68 in Tokyo.

Luka Doncic was the main story of the game. The Dallas superstar was on pace for a triple-double, but in the end, he was just a bit short.

Doncic finished the game with 23 points, seven rebounds, and seven assists in 28 minutes of play.

Slovenia played seven friendly games and won three of them. As for the World Cup, Slovenia is in Group F in Okinawa. They will play against Cape Verde, Georgia, and Venezuela in the group stage.

With Vlatko Cancar out of action, this result was a moral boost as Slovenia will have to rely on a relatively thin roster in their World Cup campaign with Doncic having to compensate for a lot of missing players, compared to the recent previous FIBA tournaments.
