MANILA, Philippines – Team USA, including 28-year-old forward/center Bobby Portis, is heading to the bronze medal game of the 2023 FIBA World Cup. During team practice, one day before the meeting with Canada in Mall of Asia Arena Sunday, Portis shared on his former NBA teammate Jabari Parker and current NBA teammate Khris Middleton.

Parker, 28, signing with FC Barcelona has launched preparations for the 2023-24 edition of the Turkish Airlines EuroLeague and domestic competitions in Spain. In a recent interview, he replied ‘definitely’ to a question about the Catalonia giant possibly being able to compete in the NBA.

“The boy is a hell of a talent. He is just a confident guy. I have no negative thing to say about it. That is his personal opinion,” said Portis, committed to following Parker in the EuroLeague, “I like his comment a lot.”

Middleton, 32, playing for Team USA in the 2019 FIBA World Cup settled for seventh on the final rankings. And actually focused on the poor showing of the United States in a recent talk with his Milwaukee Bucks teammate.

“At least we have a chance to come back with something. That is our focus right now,” Portis put things into perspective after referring to an ‘epic conversation’ with Middleton.
