Luca Banchi, the coach of the Italian national team, has announced the roster of players he is counting on for the upcoming qualifying window in the race for a spot at the Basketball World Cup.
Banchi decided on the following players: Marco Spissu, Amedeo Della Valle, Nico Mannion, Leonardo Candi, Stefano Tonut, Diego Flaccadori, Elisee Assui, Amedeo Tessitori, Giampaolo Ricci, Gabriele Procida, Saliou Niang, Giordano Bortolani, Francesco Ferrari, Tommaso Baldasso, Luigi Suigo, Davide Casarin, Andrea Calzavara, Leonardo Tote, Mouhamet Diouf, Giovanni Veronesi, Sasha Grant, Nicola Akele, Luca Vincini, John Petrucelli.
Also, Charles Atamah, Leonardo Marangon, Cheickh Niang and Luca Possamai will join for the training sessions on Monday 23 and Tuesday 24 February.
Italy lost to Iceland in the first two rounds and defeated Lithuania, and in the next two matches they will face Great Britain away and the same team at home.
